LUSCIOUS Singer/Rapper
January 25th 1983,
I was born, a beautiful black girl, Evangelar Henmy,
To a ma and sperm donor, I ain’t had no pops,
Raised in the projects, run down shoes no socks,
Stayed in the church though, always led the choir,
Gave the folks the Holy Ghost, lit the pews on fire,
I was kinda young then, when my mamma died,
No desire to use my gift, so my voice retired,
Listening to others music made me feel much better,
But, performing on stage kept me warm like sweaters,
Graduated then I’m marching right and left in the ARMY,
My own cadence made me strong, Bush nor Bin Laden couldn’t harm me,
Military? Not for long, I got out of that hell,
Then I’m in the studio with a story to tell,
Over 30 songs recorded, been live on stage,
Only a local fan base, still locked in a cage,
My stage name is Luscious, Its the name I was given,
One-dimensional you may call it, but it makes me more driven,
To be more than a “stripper” or someone who they feeling,
Now at 22 my music has grown,
My voice is on point, my rap game is strong,
Some may say I’m twisted, some may say I’m wrong,
But I shall not stop trying ‘til my music lives on.
